Review: Miss Hana Gel Eyeliner Stardust

Hey ladies, I'm back with another Miss Hana review for you guys :) Once again thanks to Natta Cosme, I am going to review their stardust collection this time. So what's the difference between this and the previous Miss Hana Gel Eyeliner that I reviewed the last time? Read on to find out!

Look! their box is different this time, it's more classy, and looks like the night sky :) Initially I thought they specially designed the box to suit the stardust theme of the eyeliners. Then I saw some other posts, and I realised that this is the new box that they are gonna be using to send out their products. It's so pretty!!!!

One thing I love about Natta Cosme is the effort that they take every single time they send this out to all the bloggers out there. I mean, there are always about 30-50 bloggers at one time, and every time, when we get these review boxes, they always come with these beautifully printed pieces of paper, and you can see that they've put in a lot of thought to prepare these.

They even have our names beautifully handwritten in each note, which gives it a really personalised touch. Not a lot of companies do this nowadays, so it's always great to receive notes like these.

The Miss Hana Gel Eyeliner Stardust comes in two colours,  Galaxy Black and Golden Brown. They're in essence the two colours of the gel liners that I have reviewed previously, except with specks of glitter in them. Lots of companies are jumping on the bandwagon of adding in glitters to their liquid liners, but I have yet to see a pencil liner with glitters in them. Until Miss Hana, of course :)

According to their website, the Miss Hana Gel Eyeliner claims to have:

1. Extreme Colour - performing better than the other eyeliner pencils in the market, it delivers evenly coloured lines and achieves excellent colour to create three-dimensional deep eyes.

2. Gelatinous texture - improves your stroke, and moderate gel hardness for smooth gliding on of the liner. Easy to use, easy to draw.

3. Extremely waterproof - it has long time anti-sweat, anti-tears and oil formula to maintain a whole day without smudges. You can even use it to draw cat eyes and it can stay on for a long time, making you the eye of the public's attention.

The ends of the liner tells you which colour you're holding, and in this instance, I have the black on the left, and brown on my right. If you look closely, you can see that there are little flecks of glitter in there. I think it's quite a nice touch, that they tell you subtly that you're holding a stardust liner as opposed to the normal gel liner :)

So, the black and the brown up close and personal :) From it's new tip, it's hard to see the glitters, but trust me, once you slide them on, it's pretty easy to see :D

Swatches: Left: Golden Brown; Right: Galaxy Black.
The thick lines are drawn with three strokes, and the thin ones with one stroke.

These are the swatches of the liner taken under ordinary light. Can you see the stardust? I love it :) The glitters on the brown is more obvious than on the black under ordinary light though.

This is a shot of the swatches taken under flash. Without a doubt, all the glitters are so noticeable. This is definitely an eyeliner you should wear if you are going out clubbing and tend to take lots of photos with flash. They will certainly make your eyes stand out :D

So here come the two important tests when it comes to eyeliners:

Smudgeproof Test
It's pretty smudgeproof. It stays on the whole day, and over the course of the day, it smudges a little bit, but not too much that it gives me panda eyes.  Usually I wouldn't be using this the whole day, so it's fine for me :)

Waterproof Test
The waterproofing on this product is actually quite good. Even after a long day and with my oily eyelids, when I splash them with water and rub it a little, the liner still stays on. Plus point for me :)

So how do they look under natural light? Here's me trying out the Galaxy Black liner. I love how it glides on smoothly on my lids. The semi soft formula enables me the control when putting on the liner, and at the same time, the softness ensures that I do not have to  apply it on my lids more than two times. Even under natural light, you can see the glitters.

So this is taken with flash. The glitters are much more noticeable, and the lines as you can see do not smudge at all. This is taken after a long day, as you can see by my shiny eyelids :p Notice my right eye (the left eye in this pic) has the foundation already caking on my lids, but the liner still stays in place :) Two thumbs up!

So here are my final thoughts of the liners:

Waterproof: It's pretty water proof, only a little bit of it came off when I splashed it with water at the end of a long day.

Smudgeproof: It's quite smudgeproof. It didn't smudge to the lower lid of my eyes after a long day.

Staying power: At the end of the day, it doesn't disappear. The liner still stays on and is still quite noticeable.

Verdict: 8/10

Repurchase: Yes

Additional Comments: Personally, this is one of the better pencil liners that I've tried in my lifetime (and I have tried a lot). It stays on my eyes smudgeproof the whole day, but comes off easily with water based make up remover. I love that the glitters are subtle enough for everyday use (yes, even for work), and also gives you enough oomph for a night out.

Price: RM34.90, but you can get it from Natta Cosme for only RM24.90! Check it out here: http://www.nattacosme.com/Miss-Hana-Water-Proof-Gel-Eyeliner

But then, you draw such a fine line that from a distance people won't be able to see the glitter.
