Sephora CC Care + Color (30ml/ RM69)
You know what's the best part? It's not super expensive (at RM69 it's really quite affordable considering it's a Sephora product), so I decided to take the plunge :)
List of ingredients listed on the product :) Got it also because it's paraben free.
These are its claims, and when I read it I was significantly impressed, though I imagine I shouldn't be considering that's what other CC Creams claim to have as well. So? Challenge accepted!
When I opened the packaging, the bottle is exactly the same as what's drawn on the box. What I love about this is that it's a vacuum pump. :) I have mentioned before that I love vacuum pumps because you don't waste the product as much if it's a normal pump bottle and it looks so innovative! I always love to see the dial come up when the product is dispensed.
The bottle itself is clear, and you can see two swirls of colour, which are white and cream. I would imagine the white colour is the sunscreen and skincare while the cream are the colour pigments for the cream. Therefore, Care = White swirl, and Color = Cream swirl
Here's the back of the bottle, nothing extraordinary about it, just instructions on how to use it. If you noticed from the front part of the bottle, it has SPF20 so you can use it without putting on sunscreen :)
Another thing that prompted me to purchase this product is that it comes in a universal shade. That way, you don't have to worry about getting the wrong colour for your skintone. So lets put this to the test.
This is the amount that comes out for half a pump. So one full pump is enough for my entire face, and that's great cos I don't have to estimate how much I need to pump and there will be less wastage involved. Check out the fine lines on my hands.
After blending it in for a bit, you can see the blend of the white and cream product, and after blending it in, you don't see it anymore (pic below)
And here's the proof after testing it out on my hand. The fine lines are less visible, and the colour doesn't veer off too drastically from the skintone of my hand. After a while, The product absorbs into my skin and doesn't feel sticky to the touch, so that's a major plus point from me, because I don't like my face to be sticky after applying face creams.
I used it out after that, and I really liked how it felt on my skin. It's lightweight, and covers all my red spots and pores. My skin looked really flawless and I didn't even need to use concealer around my eyes! The pic above me just me using the CC Cream and minimal makeup for eyebrows, eyeliner, and lipgloss :)
The only few things that I didn't really like was that it smells like sunblock. I don't like putting sunblock on my face for precisely the smell, so it was kind of a little turn-off for me. Also, it doesn't control the oil and shine on my face, so after a few hours, I could see that my face was oily and I had to use a facial blotter. It doesn't stay very long as well, so if you were to go out in the middle of the day, you would need to reapply it :(
Verdict: 7/10

yea, i like the spiral also..looks really nice ;D
between this and laura mercier's tined moisturizer, which one is better?
I would say the LM one performs better. It is more lightweight, and helps to control the oil on my face even after a long day :)
