Review: Bag of Love April 2013 Edition

Holla ladies!! I know this post is a little late considering I've just gotten the May Bag of Love yesterday and May is almost over :O Work has been a tough little nut the past few weeks and I've had so many deadlines to meet on other blog posts!! :O

But I finally have a little time to myself, so this round, I will be finally putting up my review of the April Edition of the Bag of Love that I got from the Butterfly Project's special tea party collaboration with Bag of Love and Delectable by Su!  April's beauty bag is an awesome bag mostly because it celebrates Earth Month! It's a little green bag that is bleach-free canvas material, and even the little "Bag of Love" label inside is made of recycled non-woven material :)

Phytojoba Intense Hydrating Shampoo (RM88/ 200ml)

First up is the Phytojoba Intense Hydrating Shampoo. Gentle yet intense with hydrating benefits from jojoba, it helps to reinforce the hair’s natural defense system and to regain moisture level so that hair becomes shiny and smooth.

I've tried this product, and I give it the two-thumbs-up! :D Especially because I have pretty long hair, it tends to get dry at the ends, but after using this product I find that it's really moisturizing, and I love the smell :D

Decleor Hydra Floral Moisturising Cream (RM271/ 50ml) This is 15ml

This refreshing moisturising cream provides an anti-pollution protection to the skin, while leaving it soft, relaxed and protected. With 85% of its ingredients derived from natural origins and with no parabens or mineral oils, your skin will exude beauty from within.

When Furfer  saw this was in the April bag, she squealed for joy because it was one of her favourite brands. Having come across this brand for the first time, I wasn't entirely sure if I would squeal as much :p But after using it, let me tell you that it's ultra moisturising and though it's for the face and neck, you can easily substitute it as a hand cream as well. Sometimes when I feel my hands drying out, I will reach out for this (or the Burts Bee's) whichever one is nearer and apply it on my hands :D I love the smell too!

Burt's Bees Richly Replenishing Cocoa and Cupuacu Butters Body Lotion (RM62.80/ 170ml), This is 6.5g

The Body Shop Quiet Night Dreamy Pillow and Body Mist RM59/ 100ml), This is 60ml

Burt's Bees' very natural product has the softening properties of cocoa and cupuaçu butters and nourishing botanical moisturisers from sunflower and olive oils. It absorbs quickly to leave the skin baby soft and smooth for 24 hours. I use this as a hand moisturiser as I already have a body lotion that I use (sometimes) :p so this product is on my study table. I do not need a lot of it at one go cos it's really hydrating and moisturising, so a little product goes a looooooong way! Don't be fooled by its size, because I've been using it for a few weeks already, and it still doesn't seem to finish! :p

To promote tranquil sleep, the Dreamy Pillow mist has a special blend of relaxing ingredients from jujube date and Community Trade camomile which helps to balance and soothe the mind. Bursts of active fragrance are released through the night as the body move, so that you get a full night of satisfying sleep. This product is now an official resident on my bedside table. Before I sleep, I just spray it on my pillow, and the relaxing scent lulls me to sleep. I love the smell of the product, and hope I get to win another 60ml soon!

Definite Contour Brush, (RM88.00)

Back by popular demand, this is the one product that made all the other ladies at the tea party shout for joy :p The Definite Contour Brush is a brush that can be used to either apply, blend, or contour powder products. Made of super-soft, high-grade goat hair, this brush blends powder effortlessly over the face for a smooth and professional finish. I use this to blend my foundation powder, and I love it! Enough said :p

Nuxe Brightening BB Cream SPF 30/PA+++ (RM120/ 30ml)

Last but not least, is my favourite product of all. The Nuxe Brightening BB Cream. I have been searching high and low for a BB cream that suits me, and this is it :D Formulated with white crocus, daisy, green tea flower, mallow, borage oils, and natural mineral pigments (silica), it works wonders to provide light coverage for the skin and at the same time, brighten, moisturise and soothe it.

When I go out on a normal workday, I just use this over my face, and I'm set :) No hassle over foundation and other products, as it is enough just on its own :) I'm really stoked over the size as well, because the full size is a 30ml, and they have given us a 15ml super deluxe sample :D I'm loving it! :D

If you noticed, all the  products featured in the April Edition Bag of Love are either of natural origin, or contribute some way of another to the environment. I myself love themes in my beauty boxes or bags, and I have to admit, I really love the April theme. More often than not, we forget about the environment due to the fast paced life we live, and this is Bag of Love's gentle way of reminding us to never forget the environment :)

I love the Bag so much for its durability that I've been carrying it around as a cosmetic bag for my make up that I wear on an everyday basis. I'm wondering if MiMi has anymore that I can 'steal' and use for other things? hmmm :p
