It's a little late, but last month was the month I turned a little older. Nearing 30, but lucky enough, if you round up my age, I can still be considered 25? hahaha
Well, a little older, but not necessarily wiser :p More responsibilities with each year, and more headaches with the coming months. Not that all's bad, cos some are better than most, but bearable :)
Over the past years, I've had the chance to meet many beautiful people, not only in appearance, but also from within. So, for the past 20-odd years of my existence, I would like to extend a thank you to everyone who has touched my life, and made my memories that much sweeter, with colourful paints on my white canvas of life.
Oh, I digress...this post was actually to tell you about the little pre-birthday celebration that I had with le bb before we both went back to our respective hometowns for Chinese New Year. Since we would both not be together for my birthday, we decided to have it a little early, and he brought me to a place we've both never tried before but heard lots about.
Can you guess where we went?? heeeee :D
Yep we went somewhere Korean, in Taman Danau Desa! Seoul Korea :D
When we got there, we had to queue up for about 30 minutes....cos the line was looooong :( but looking at the pork above, it was worth it :D
le bb being his usual self, fooled around with the vege and gave me this 'orgasmic' look when I tried to snap a pic of him :p
Other side dishes they served us with was the Customary Kimchi, Fried Cucumber Slices, Steamed Egg, Fermented Bean Sprouts, Cuttlefish Stripes, Braised Egg, Par-boiled Spinach, Lettuce Salad with a Tart Dressing, Banchan, Bulgogi Jeongol
Now, these are refillable, so you can take as much as you want :D
It was an awesome dinner with great company, but we didn't eat a lot cos we wanted to save some space for dessert :D
Ta daa~ we went to secret recipe (a little too mainstream, but whatever) to have cake, because no birthday is ever complete without cake :D So we had two slices, Hazel Cheese on the left, and Black Forest on the right. Two of my favourite cakes from SR :)
Oh and not to forget, my beautiful colleagues also collaborated to 'surprise' me with a birthday cake before I went back :p I say 'surprise' because I accidentally walked in on them trying to light the candle on my cake >.< But I did pretend to act surprised though..hahahaha and the cake was super yummy!!! It's chocolate cake from San Terri, the cake house from the shopping centre below my office, and the customary cake shop where we buy our cakes for celebrations :)
So I guess you can guess my age now -.-" BUT I'm still young at heart :)
If you're wondering what I did for my birthday with my family, I had an awesome time celebrating at one of the restaurants in Kuching, but the limelight that night wasn't so much me, it was more my 18 months old nephew, Brendan. You can check it out here *click*
All in all, thank you everyone for making this birthday a memorable one for me :) To everyone who sms'd, whatsapped, wished me on facebook, twitter, instagram, thank you from the bottom of my heart :) It really meant a lot.
Side note: If you're wondering where Seoul Korea is, they're located at the address below. The shop is located above a mamak shop, and no, you cannot call for reservations because they don't do that kind of stuff. You gotta go there and line up if you want a place. At least, that's what I heard la:
Seoul Korea
No. 1-1 (1st), Plaza Danau 2,
