This product was the result of a 12-week K.I.S.S trial (Kinerase Innovative Skincare Study) where it involved 275 patients from Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Taiwan, 30 physicians, spread out over regular intervals at week 4, 8, and 12. The aim of this trial was to test the effectiveness of the Kinerase cream containing 0.1% Kinetin in enhancing Asian Complexion on real patients, with inspiring results. The main reason why it was tested only in HK, Malaysia and Taiwan was because the product is developed for Asian skin, and how Asian can we get by testing in Asian countries? :)
What is Kinetin? it's a naturally occuring biogrowth factor discovered by scientists many years ago, and Kinerase opted to study it further to test its effects on Asians, to better understand Asian skin better. According to scientific tests, Kinetin delays and prevents the onset of aging in human skin cells, prevents cellular changes associated with aging without any harmful effect, and improves the skin's ability to maintain more moisture with up to 26% decrease in trans-epidermal water loss (TEWL).
It was a great event with quite a few innovative activities (event I would not have been able to think of it). There was a photo booth where they took a polaroid of yourself and you are given a wish card, where you can write your wish for your skin :) and they painted your lips blue, so you can kiss the card (I like this little bit of ingenuity) and mark your KISS with Kinerase :)
We were spoiled rotten by the pampering that we got, and there was even a small section where we could get air-brushed tattoos of a blue lip :p I was sporting that tattoo for a few days :p
There were also themed blue lipped cupcakes (which tastes like Lychee if
not mistaken), and blue mocktails (which I didn't get to try cos I was
sick).
As Kinetin is a naturally-occurring bro growth factor that works on the cellular level to maintain moisture in skin, it can be used on all skin types, including sensitive skin and even-post procedure skin. During this trial, one of the biggest impact of Kinerase was the reduction of fine wrinkles. This is a simple non-invasive measure that can minimise the effects of aging, and help to maintain the youthful appearance of skin.

Why Asians? It is undeniable that Asians make up for majority of the world's population (I read this somewhere :p), and while there are numerous papers on Kinetin, there is no comprehensive study measuring how well it works on Asian skin. This KISS trial was an opportunity for those at Invida to test the cream's efficacy on real patients who want to manage the effects of aging on their skin, under the strict supervision of doctors.
These products are only available in clinics, and when asked, there are no plans anytime soon to be released to drugstore pharmacies. According to Amy, they would prefer to leave the products to the hands of the experts for the moment, and when the time comes, then only will they explore marketing it out to the mass public by way of distribution to drugstore pharmacies.
These products come at a price range of between RM150 to RM200, depending on what product you purchase.
I love the way they decorated the place, there were blue stuff everywhere! and even the flowers were dipped in blue dye to create the effect :)
I have been K.I.S.S.E.D by Kinerase :) Have you?
