Betty's Midwest Kitchen @ Aman Suria

Last month,  my god-siblings and I decided to have lunch together after not meeting up for a long while. We were at a loss as to where to go for a good meal when my saimui suggested a place she went to previously with a mutual friend. After little hesitation, we decided to head to Betty's Midwest Kitchen at Aman Suria, which was owned by the friend's sister's friend. lol :p

It wasn't very hard to find the place, but I recall it was a hassle to get to the front of the shop, seeing as how the roads only go one way and we had to make an illegal turn :p

Easy to spot signboard, hard to miss. Unless you're going the wrong direction :p spot anything cute in this pic? :p

The interior of the place, I like how homey it is, and all the variety of piggy pictures brings a cosy feel to the place

Orange Juice (RM3.00), Lemonade (RM5.00), Orange 'n Cream (RM6.50) 

The Homemade Lemonade is awesome, no regrets ordering that!

Pig in a Blanket, RM12.00 

These are pork cocktail sausages wrapped in bacon and oven cooked. The oil from the bacon gives the sausages the signature taste only associated to bacon grease :) Delicious!

Classic Meatloaf, RM16.50 

My saimui had the Classic meatloaf, which is served with our house mashed potato, peas, onion relish and our very own beer-based dip. According to them, it's a classical Midwest-style pork meatloaf which is both hearty and wholesome. Not bad, but the portion is a little small..love the mashed potatoes though :D

Pulled Pork Burger, RM13.50 

bb had the Pulled pork burger, which consists of pulled pork that has been slow-roasted and braised in Betty's special sauce in-between a burger bun, served with house coleslaw and fries. Not really recommended, as the burger is a tad tiny. Suffice to say even after having this, bb wasn't very full :(

Sloppy Joe, RM12.00 

My adik ordered this, which is in essence an American dish of ground pork, onions, ketchup and other seasonings, served with buns and fries. I always hear about this on TV and read about it in books. This would go great during a cold rainy day, but not when the sun is shining because it warms you up inside :p

Dog Food, RM9.00 

Our side dish, was wondering why it's called that way, maybe it's cos it's served in a pan which looks like the dog food pan? These are fries drenched in gravy, topped with cheese and oven cooked. Really good :D Recommended :) Not too expensive too for the portion.

Jucy Lucy, RM13.50

This is my order, a hamburger with melted cheese core inside the grilled beef and pork pattie, lettuce, tomato and onion relish served on a basket of fries. Very sinful, look at the amount of cheese in that patty! But bb still wasn't impressed though :/ It was a small portion, but quite thick, so if I were to compare this with the pulled pork burger, I would go for this, especially if both are the same price.

We adjourned to Chatime after that for some drinks to freshen us up :D Pretty convenient, as Chatime was located just at the next block. The dudes wanted to drive -.-" But I insisted we walk after having such a sinful meal.

Take three: finally a better one with him smiling. I always need to prepare myself for three takes whenever I take pictures with bb :p but I'm not complaining ^^
